Populism

Populism in Sport, Leisure and Popular Culture: Co-edited with Dr Bryan Clift, of the University of Bath. On the back of several events that we organised – a BSA (British Sociological Association) Leisure & Recreation Study Group workshop, several sessions at the annual conference of the North American Society for the Sociology of Sport (NASSS) – we brought together a strong international team of scholars to examine the theoretical potential of the theory/concept of populism in sociological analysis of popular culture, sport, and leisure. The book, published in the Routledge/BSA Sociological Futures list, is the focus of a podcast led by BSA Chair Professor Louise Ryan.
